Some of you may have recognized a familiar name onstage at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) earlier this week.
We’re excited to officially announce that HomeKit will be coming to Ring Pro, which means Ring neighbors will have an easy, secure and private way to monitor their home via the Home app. We’re also adding Siri support, which gives you another great way to interact with your home and Ring products. We currently have no date for the release, but we’ll be sure to let all our Neighbors know once it’s ready.
We’re committed to continuously taking the Ring experience to the next level for our community. We’ve been listening closely to all of the great feedback you’ve been throwing our way, and we know how highly requested Apple HomeKit support has been. With HomeKit, your current Ring experience will only get better. Soon, you’ll be able to use your Ring Pro alongside all the other smart home products you’ve embraced through HomeKit.
As things progress, we’ll be sure to keep our Ring community in the loop along the way.
As always, we’re eager to hear our customers’ feedback, so please feel free to share your thoughts on the anticipated HomeKit-enabled Ring experience and what you’re most looking forward to in the comments below.
May 8, 2018 Update
Our top priority at Ring is to ensure that our Neighbors have the best possible experience with our products, and sometimes that can cause shifts in feature release dates. We are still eager to introduce HomeKit functionality, but do not have a launch date to share at this time. As always, we’re very appreciative of the support that our Neighbors continue to show us, and will post an update on our blog as soon as we have more information to share.
