Make Finding Your Lost Pet Easier with Pet Tag
By Ring on September 13, 2023
At Ring, we know pets are part of your family, so we know how scary it can be if they go missing.
That’s why we’ve built features like the Lost Pet Post, which posts to the Neighbors feed in the Ring App and has empowered more than a quarter million Ring customers to raise awareness and help bring their lost pets home. It’s also why we’ve teamed up with Petco Love Lost, which gives you access to a network of over 2,500 animal shelters nationwide via the Ring App to help locate your missing pet. We are continually inspired by Ring customers and their communities coming together to help return missing pets to their owners.
Today, we’re excited to deepen our pet-focused offerings with the introduction of Pet Tag, a new pet accessory that helps reunite lost pets with their owners.
Pet Tag, which easily attaches to your pet’s collar, features a QR code on the back. Once scanned, this QR code notifies you that your lost pet’s tag has been scanned. And, once you’ve set up a Pet Profile for your pet, scanning the QR code will display the helpful information you’ve logged there—like health conditions—that can help someone who may find your pet best understand your pet’s immediate needs. If you’ve opted in to Contact Me via your pet’s Pet Profile, the pet finder can engage in two-way communication with you - facilitating the return of your pet while respecting your privacy.
Pricing and Availability
Pet Tag is available for pre-order in the U.S. today at $9.99 on Ring.com and Amazon.com, and will begin shipping to customers on October 4. Pet Tag does not feature GPS functionality. To learn more about our pet offerings, visit Ring for Pets.
