Ring and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children Come Together to Bring Missing Kids Home
By Ring on December 18, 2019
At Ring, our mission is to help make neighborhoods safer. That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to empower our users to reunite missing children with their families.
According to the FBI, there were 424,066 cases of missing children reported to law enforcement in 2018. Through the partnership, NCMEC will expand its reach to the millions of engaged Neighbors users who can potentially provide valuable information about missing children. NCMEC missing child posters will be visible directly in the app to users whose defined neighborhoods fall within the area of interest. Posts will prompt users to contact the proper authorities if they have any information that could help in the search for the missing child.
We’ve already seen the positive impact that Neighbors can have in successfully reuniting missing children with their families. When a child goes missing, every minute counts, and it only takes one person with the right information to bring that child home. The Neighbors team is proud to partner with NCMEC to reach millions of engaged neighbors who are just as passionate about helping their communities and keeping families safe as we are.
