Say Goodbye to Notification Overload: Meet Ring’s AI Single Event Alert
By Ring on November 6, 2025
In an increasingly connected world, constant notifications from smart home devices have become part of everyday life. A single activity, like the gardener mowing the lawn or children playing in the driveway, can trigger multiple alerts in just minutes.
At Ring, we believe staying informed shouldn’t mean being overwhelmed. That’s why we’re introducing AI Single Event Alert, a new AI-powered feature that consolidates related motion events into a single notification. With AI Single Event Alert, users can stay aware of what’s happening around their homes while reducing unnecessary alerts and maintaining peace of mind.
Smarter Alerts, Less Noise

AI Single Event Alert addresses one of the most common customer frustrations — notification fatigue. Constant alerts can make it difficult to focus and even harder to tell what’s urgent. By using advanced AI and Video Descriptions, this feature intelligently recognizes when multiple motion detections stem from the same ongoing activity, reducing them into a single alert.
How It Works

When you have Ring Video Descriptions turned on, AI Single Event Alert analyzes these brief summaries generated for each event to identify patterns and similarities that signal one ongoing activity.
So, when your gardener moves across the yard trimming hedges, or your kids play from one side of the driveway to the other, you’ll get just one notification instead of several.
Related events are still recorded and available in your Event History in the Ring app. You’ll simply be alerted in a more efficient, intuitive way.
Security That Respects Your Time
AI Single Event Alert brings a balance between awareness and peace of mind. You’ll know what’s happening around your home without being flooded with repetitive alerts.
This feature joins Ring’s growing family of AI-powered tools built to make your security system more
