Since introducing the world’s first video doorbell, we’ve continuously improved the Ring video experience to ensure customers have a clear, detailed view and insight, no matter where they are. Today, we are excited to introduce Outdoor Cam Plus, our new 2K camera that offers Ring’s best image quality yet.
Brilliant Image Quality, Even in Low Light Conditions
Outdoor Cam Plus delivers brilliant image quality with 2K video resolution, a wide field of view, and Low-Light Sight technology. Ring’s Low-Light Sight technology uses advanced image processing techniques to show a clear, colorful view even in near dark conditions. Whether it’s a dimly lit front yard or business park, Outdoor Cam Plus can capture any moment with clarity and sharpness through the illumination of only a street light or other ambient light.
The video quality of Outdoor Cam Plus is powered by Ring Vision, which delivers industry-leading video quality by combining software, hardware, and Ring’s internal expertise. Ring Vision begins with a high-quality lens, which is perfectly matched with premium imaging sensors for crisp video definition. And with the Dynamic Image processing and high-efficiency compression, the video will deliver life-like color and clarity whether you’re watching in Live View or a video recording from the night before.
Outdoor Cam Plus is designed for indoor or outdoor use, and features a weather-resistant build, easy-to-install mount that even works on ceilings, and multiple power options (battery, plug-in, solar).
In addition to core features including motion detection with real-time alerts, Live View and Two-Way Talk, customers get even more with a Ring Home subscription. With Ring Home Basic, customers can receive people, packages, and vehicles alerts and access up to 180 days of event video history. With Ring Home Premium, customers get even more insight into what’s happening around their home or business with features like 24/7 Recording (available for Outdoor Cam Plus plug-in) and Smart Video Search, an AI-powered feature that helps customers quickly find key moments in their Ring video history. Customers can also connect Outdoor Cam Plus to compatible Alexa-enabled devices to stream Live View, engage in Two-Way Talk, and more.

Ring is a leader in delivering privacy features for customers, and like all Ring products and features, Outdoor Cam Plus was designed with privacy and security at the forefront. Ring was the first in the home security industry to require two-step verification for all customers, and the first major home security company to launch video end-to-end encryption as an advanced encryption option for customers. In addition, Outdoor Cam Plus features customizable privacy settings and privacy zones, which allows customers to block areas they do not want to monitor and record. Plus, like all Ring cameras, Outdoor Cam Plus has a blue indicator light that is illuminated when recording.
