Halloween Moments That Were More Treat Than Trick
By Ring on October 23, 2026
Halloween is more than costumes and candy. It's the season that turns front porches into stages, doorbells into punchlines, and everyday moments into memories you'll replay for years. This year, Ring neighbors showed up in full force, and their Ring devices caught every hilarious, heartwarming, and downright unexplainable second. From tiny trick-or-treaters with very strong candy opinions to mysterious visitors no one can identify, these are the moments that make Halloween unforgettable.
This Witch Wasn't Charmed
A trick-or-treater dressed up for Halloween as a witch showed up at Joy's door, but the candy selection didn't cast the right spell. Sometimes the scariest part of Halloween is finding out your candy choice is nothing more than a little hocus pocus.
Nothing But Love in These Bones
Three-year-old Alden takes Halloween very seriously. Dressed in his favorite skeleton costume, he stopped on his way out the door to give every single porch decoration a kiss goodbye. It's his adorable ritual and his dad, Blake, has replayed it at least ten times. We totally get why!
A 3-Foot Figure, a Metallic Screech, and Zero Explanations
A late-night notification revealed something Jessica still can't explain: a small, hunched figure with an elongated head, no taller than 3 or 4 feet, walking through her yard with no clothing in sight. Then came the sharp metallic screech of the back gate swinging open, and her neighbor reported loud bangs on the roof that same night. Friends say it looks like an alien and Jessica never went outside to check. Some mysteries are better left unsolved.
Never a Dull Doorbell
Every evening Kelly works late and her husband Bill shows up at the Ring device with a new prop and a mission to make her laugh. This time? Full Halloween mode. Kelly's family and friends can't get enough of Bill's nightly check-ins, and honestly, neither can we.
A Moment Worthy of a Golden Ticket
Josette wasn't done being an Oompa Loompa just because her Halloween party was over. She rang the doorbell, struck a pose, and gave her husband a full Charlie and the Chocolate Factory performance right on their front porch. Halloween is Josette's favorite time to get creative, and this year we got a front-row seat.
