Introducing The Ring Appstore: Ring Cameras Just Got Smarter

By Ring on January 6, 2026

For years, we’ve been impressed with the practical and creative ways customers use their Ring devices beyond traditional security — from keeping an eye on a storefront after hours to checking on pets while away to monitoring everyday activity that matters to them. These real-world uses have helped guide how we continue to build new products for our customers. Today, we're excited to announce the Ring Appstore, a new experience inside the Ring app that gives customers more ways to use their existing Ring videos, Live Views, and other data through integration with third-party apps.

The Ring Appstore is a new offering that provides customers increased value by expanding the benefits of their existing Ring videos, Live Views, and other data through integration with apps. The Ring Appstore is available directly in the Ring app or at Ring.com for U.S. customers with a compatible Ring subscription (certain apps may also require a third-party subscription and account linking). In the coming weeks, customers will be able to browse a growing selection of applications designed to help you get more value from your Ring cameras.

Apps in the Appstore are built by third-party developers and focus on specific use cases, from small business operations to everyday needs around the home.

What is the Ring Appstore?

The Ring Appstore will unlock new ways for customers to get more from existing Ring devices, and they will be available directly in the Ring app or at Ring.com for U.S. customers with a compatible Ring subscription (certain apps may also require a third-party subscription and account linking). In the coming weeks, customers will be able to browse a growing selection of applications designed to help you get more value from your Ring cameras.

Apps in the Appstore are built by both Ring and third-party developers and focus on specific use cases, from small business operations to everyday needs around the home. Together, these apps help turn cameras into tools that provide timely alerts and actionable insights.

Appstore For Your Business

Small business owners are already using Ring cameras to help keep an eye on their operations. The Ring Appstore makes monitoring tools that have traditionally been out of reach for small businesses to afford and use, with the benefit of choosing which apps work best for their business needs, including:

  • Visionify helps make workplaces safer and can detect employee safety issues such as PPE compliance, employee falls, or restricted-area access.

  • Spacture AI helps identify potential shoplifting or suspicious activity in real-time live using AI, reducing the need to spend hours monitoring cameras or sifting through footage. Lumeo offers a selection of video analytics, including counting how many people are waiting in line outside your store, detecting a door left ajar and even smoke and fire detection.
  • These apps can help small business owners save time by focusing their attention on what matters most.

    Appstore For Your Home

Ring customers only review a fraction of their footage. Ring Appstore apps can help surface important moments automatically. Our early partners are already making apps to make it easier to act or find extra peace of mind at home – some that are planned to be included at launch include:

  • PoolScout distinguishes between toddlers, adults, and pets and sends real-time alerts before they reach a pool, helping families take action before a potentially dangerous situation.

  • Meld analyzes dog behavior to determine any behavioral anomalies and helps pet owners understand if something may be out of the ordinary while they’re away.

  • Maytronics integrates pool maintenance insights and uses Ring cameras to help identify potential issues with your equipment and prompt next steps.
  • These are just the beginning. Over time, customers will see more apps designed to support everyday needs.

Built by Experts, for Your Specific Needs

Ring’s focus has always been on building reliable, high-quality camera technology. With the Ring Appstore, we’re extending that foundation by enabling third-party developers to build specialized apps for our cameras. This approach allows customers to choose the apps that are most relevant to their needs, while enabling third-party developers with deep expertise to provide customers with a broader range of specialized solutions. All within the Ring experience that customers already know and trust.

We’re also excited to announce our partnership with Toast, the leading restaurant point of sale and management system. To continue making our products even better for our small business customers, we’ll explore new ways to integrate Ring devices with point-of-sale systems through the Ring Appstore, helping restaurants and small businesses create better experiences for both staff and guests.
