Halloween Mission Engaged: Win $1 Million By Capturing An Extraterrestrial Sighting On Your Ring Device

By Ring on October 4, 2023

Ring Mission Control here. Stand by for your next assignment: Ring’s Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials. Sensors have been picking up signs of unidentified life forms in the Neighborhood Nebula, and we want you to investigate.

For almost 100 years, scientists, experts, and average homeowners have shared stories and video clips of Extraterrestrial sightings. With new sightings and further evidence that lifeforms might exist beyond Earth’s atmosphere, there’s a possibility that Extraterrestrial activity could be happening right outside your front door. Customers all over the world capture life’s unexpected and delightful moments through their Ring Video Doorbells and Cameras. Now, you could be rewarded for catching an otherworldly sighting.

Now through November 3, 2023, Ring is offering a $1,000,000 Grand Prize1 to a US resident who captures unaltered Scientific Evidence of a real Extraterrestrial lifeform on their indoor or outdoor Ring device1,3. Whether it’s a video of an Extraterrestrial walking (or flying?) up your driveway and asking for directions or an unidentifiable lifeform exhibiting unusual and extraordinary behavior in your backyard—submit your best footage!

All video submissions meeting contest requirements and submission criteria for the Grand Prize, as defined by the Official Rules2, will be reviewed by a Space and Extraterrestrial Expert. If the Expert is convinced that your sighting meets the Scientific Evidence criteria of an Extraterrestrial lifeform, you could be $1 million dollars richer1,2,3 and forever remembered as a key researcher in the space community.

Submit your Scientific Evidence on RingMillionDollarSighting.com now until the contest ends on November 3, 2023 at 11:59pm EDT. If you don’t locate any real Extraterrestrials, don’t worry: you can still enter to win an “Out of this World” Prize! To enter, simply capture and submit your most creative interpretation of an Extraterrestrial sighting on your Ring device, and you will be in the running among your earthling peers to win a $500 Amazon gift card.

“Out of this World” Prize submissions will be judged based on creativity, humor, engagement with a Ring device, and more (as defined in the Official Rules). Alien costumes and accessories, homemade spacecrafts, and Extraterrestrial-inspired communication with your Ring device are highly encouraged for the “Out of this World” Prize submissions. From Halloween-themed Quick Replies to monitoring your home inside and out, check out these five tips that will bring you one step closer to luring in our intergalactic neighbors.

#1 Turn on Your Alien Quick Replies

Greet your starfarer friends by adding these intergalactic Halloween Quick Replies to your Ring Video Doorbell.

With a handful of Alien and Halloween-themed messages you can pick from, your automatic Quick Reply will greet guests with an otherworldly response when they press the doorbell.

#2 Equip Your Home with Indoor and Outdoor Security Cameras

Whether you live in a two-story home in the suburbs, an apartment building in a metropolitan city, or an airstream always-on the go—there’s a Ring for every home. To enhance your luck of seeing an Extraterrestrial, you can place cameras inside and outside the home, like our brand-new Ring Stick Up Cam Pro. Ring Stick Up Cam Pro is Ring's most versatile camera with advanced features including radar-based 3D Motion Detection.

#3 Use Two-Way Talk and Alexa to Communicate with Unexpected Visitors

Not sure who is waltzing up to your front door? Motion Alerts from your Ring devices can send a notification to your mobile device/tablet, Echo device, and Fire TV smart TV so you can see who is coming. Two-Way Talk can help you communicate with your visitor on your mobile device or tablet from anywhere. Or, connect your Ring devices to your Echo or Fire TV – all linked to Alexa – to talk to visitors at home. Ask Alexa, “Alexa, show me my front door,” to pull up Live View on an Echo Show or Fire TV device. Safety is the priority during this mission, and we encourage all earthlings to proceed with caution when communicating with Extraterrestrials.

#4 Add Motion Detection Smart Lights

Spacecrafts can quietly land in your backyard within the blink of an eye! Don’t miss the high-velocity space landing because it’s too dark to see. Set up Ring Floodlight Cameras and Smart Lights with Motion Detection features to keep a close eye on all interstellar activity.

#5 Blend In With a Fool-Proof Disguise and Out-of-this-World Decor

Lure in Extraterrestrials by decorating your front porch and lawn with alien-inspired décor and impressive high-tech gear. Our intergalactic neighbors are drawn to colorful lights, fascinating gadgets, and homeowners with approachable costumes complete with antennas and goggles.

Good luck investigating! We encourage all participating to share their findings with friends across social media by tagging @Ring and #RingMillionDollarSighting. Your star-studded findings may be selected and featured across Ring’s social media channels.

What are you waiting for? Turn on your Ring notifications, grab your night vision goggles, and start your mission!
