ICYMI: Ring Launches 4K Cameras, Alexa+ AI & Search Party

By Ring on October 10, 2025

It’s an exciting time at Ring, as we’ve recently announced our biggest lineup of products to date! We’ve launched next-generation 4K and 2K Retinal Vision cameras, we’re advancing our use of AI technology with the announcement of Alexa+ Greetings and Familiar Faces, and are reuniting lost dogs with their families in a new way. Read more to learn how we’re innovating at Ring to make neighborhoods safer.

Ring Retinal 4K Vision: Advanced Clarity for Home Security

Our first-ever lineup of 4K devices is one of our biggest investments to improve video quality for our neighbors. With four new devices equipped with Ring Retinal 4K including the Wired Doorbell Pro, Spotlight Cam Pro, Floodlight Cam Pro, and Outdoor Cam Pro, neighbors have access to 10x enhanced zoom, low-light sight, and AI-enhanced imaging. Our imaging technology is enhanced to provide a clearer and more realistic picture. Residents get a clearer view of what’s happening to boost peace of mind, whether it’s a delivery at the door or unexpected movement in the backyard.

Just in time for spooky season, we’re releasing Candy Cam, a limited-edition, 3D printed “costume” for your camera. Compatible with the Outdoor Cam Pro and available in five different options, this detachable cover helps you keep an eye on your candy so you know when it’s time for a refill. Act fast and grab yours now, as these limited-edition items are sure to be snatched just as fast as a full-sized candy bar. If you have your own 3D printer, you can make your own Candy Cam at home with these downloadable prints.

Search Party: AI Helping Lost Pets Return Home

Security has always been about protecting more than just homes; It’s about staying connected to the people, pets, and the community around them. With Search Party, we’re using AI in a new way to help families reunite with lost dogs. Here’s how it works:

When a neighbor reports their dog is missing in the Ring App, registered outdoor Ring cameras will automatically scan for sightings in the neighborhood. If your device captures footage of the missing dog, you'll receive a notification and can then choose to share the video. If shared, the footage is posted as a comment on the original Lost Pet Post. You can also choose to contact the owner directly to facilitate a reunion. Device owners can decide whether to share or dismiss the footage.

With more than one million posts about lost or found pets shared in the Neighbors App last year, Search Party showcases how everyday devices can serve the greater community. To learn more about Search Party, visit here.

Ring Retinal 2K Vision: Everyday Sharpness and Reliability

Available in the Indoor Cam Plus and Wired Doorbell Plus, Ring Retinal 2K boosts video sharpness and pixel density for more reliable everyday monitoring. Whether it’s to keep an eye on pets indoors or on the front porch, Ring Retinal 2K offers sharp, true-to-life video.

Alexa+ Greetings: Smarter AI for Your Doorbell

Better video clarity paved the way for smarter AI, and Alexa+ Greetings1 is an upcoming AI feature that will transform your Alexa into a virtual door attendant. With the power of AI, Alexa+ Greetings will speak with visitors on your behalf to provide delivery instructions when you aren’t available or dismiss solicitors.

To reduce consistent notifications, Ring devices will be able to identify people you see regularly with Familiar Faces2. The faces of your family members and friends will be able to be enrolled into your devices, so routine visits from loved ones don’t leave your phone buzzing from persistent pings. You can also use Familiar Faces to find out when an unknown person is detected, so you can decide how best to proceed.

With the announcement of Ring Retinal Vision 4K and 2K devices, Alexa+ Greetings, and Search Party, we aim to redefine what home security is all about. These announcements are about more than improving resolution and making smarter tech, but more importantly about finding new ways to support our neighbors so we can make neighborhoods safer together.
