Just one day after installing his Ring Video Doorbell, Brandon got a surprising alert while out with his wife. When he opened the Ring App, he saw a small fire by his front door, the result of fireworks being set off in his neighborhood. Thankfully, he also spotted a stranger, who had bravely stepped in to extinguish the flames. Brandon later discovered that the good Samaritan was a neighbor who lived just a few blocks away, and his gratitude for the heroic act is beyond measure.

Alligator Makes Itself at Home

Just weeks after installing his Ring camera, Dan caught an unexpected (but not entirely uncommon) alligator wandering through his yard. In fact, he spotted the same gator three times in just three weeks! Living in a wooded area, Dan says creatures like this are just part of the neighborhood, especially during summer mating season. It’s a wild reminder that you never know who might stop by—and why it’s always smart to keep an eye out, no matter the season.

Two-Way Talk Deters Theft in Broad Daylight

While Elizabeth was at work, a Ring notification alerted her to unexpected activity in her driveway. After tuning in via Live View, she noticed a stranger crouched down in her driveway and looking under her vehicle. Concerned for both her car and her family inside the home, she quickly used Two-Way Talk to demand that they leave. Her voice was enough to startle the person, who immediately took off. Thanks to her Ring device, Elizabeth was able to act fast and keep her home safe, even from miles away.

Summer Storm Inspires Awe

Summer storms are part of what makes the season so powerful - and unpredictable. At this peaceful lake house, a serene view quickly turned dramatic when a massive bolt of lightning struck a nearby tree. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there was no property damage - just a stunning moment of nature caught on camera (and a few welcome showers to help refill the lake). It's a striking reminder of summer’s beauty and force, all in a single flash!

Hang’n With Dad

David never holds back during a summer water balloon fight, especially with his five-year-old. Their playful backyard battle was recorded by their Ring Outdoor Cam, capturing a joyful moment which David was proud to save and share. “These moments are things I'm constantly trying to create with my son as an example for other dads to be involved with their kids,” he says. As the founder of a local dad group called “Hang’n With Dad,” David hopes clips like these encourage more fathers to make everyday memories with their kids, especially when they're home for the summer!

Summer Shopping Spree

While Kerry was out of town, she placed a few too many Amazon orders, something her wife Michelle quickly noticed. Upon finding seven packages piled on their porch, Michelle jokingly called out the shopping spree, all while being recorded by their Ring Video Doorbell. When Kerry later watched the footage, she couldn’t help but laugh. It was a lighthearted summer moment that turned an ordinary delivery into an unforgettable memory.

During a backyard BBQ setup, one four-legged family member had other plans.
