Despite being recently voted as the best city in the world for quality of life, London, like many of the world’s capitals, is a place of high crime.
Statistics claim a crime takes place in the city every five seconds, but there are corners of London that are far safer than others, experiencing much lower crime rates than the rest of the capital.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that living in one of these neighbourhoods will leave you safe from experiencing any crime at all. All of the capital’s boroughs are still at risk from petty criminals and opportunists who are likely to make the most of a delivery left on a doorstep or an unlocked garage door.
So whether you live in one of the most burgled areas or one of the safest, it’s just as important to keep your home secure at all times.
Does your borough feature on the list?
- Richmond upon Thames
- Kingston upon Thames
If you’re lucky enough to live in one of London’s safer spots, it might be worth considering investing in a home security system to keep the things you value the most as safe as possible.
Traditional alarms are becoming outdated by newer technology, and with Ring, we want to help prevent crimes before they could even happen, like Simon did when these three men were seen casing his home.
The group tried his front door before moving round to the back, but luckily Ring sent a motion alert to his phone, and when he turned on his house lights, the men were spooked and left before they could attempt to break in.
